About CYP

Compass for Young People (CYP) is a youth-led organisation based in Aburi, Eastern Region, Ghana. We were founded in response to the increasing need for direction, mentorship and values among young people in the Akuapem Ridge and beyond. Many young people today face uncertainty about their future, struggle with peer pressure, and lack role models who can guide them towards a life of purpose. CYP exists to fill that gap by providing inspiration, education and empowerment that builds confidence and character.

Our programmes bring together students, graduates, professionals and mentors who share a passion for equipping the next generation. We focus on raising leaders who are not only academically capable but also morally grounded and spiritually strong. By combining practical mentorship, community support and faith-based values, we aim to shape young people who can thrive in school, lead in their communities and make a lasting impact in society.

From school outreaches and examination preparation, to youth seminars, leadership training and the One Caring Adult (OCA) monthly gatherings, CYP provides safe and supportive spaces where young people can ask real questions and receive practical guidance. We believe that every young person has unique potential, and with the right support they can live balanced lives and discover their God-given purpose.

CYP continues to grow as a family of young people and mentors united by a common vision: to see the youth of Ghana rise with integrity, faith and determination. Our story is still being written, and we welcome everyone who shares our passion to join us in building a generation that is educated, empowered and ready to lead.
